Fall Festivals & Events in Huntsville That You Wouldn’t Want to Miss

Fall is the time of festivals and special events in Huntsville and Madison County, and the best part is there’s something for everyone! So, if you’re looking for some fun Fall experiences, we’ve got you covered.

Fall Season

Here’s a list of all the festivals and events in Huntsville that you don’t want to miss:

1. Venardos Circus Returns to Huntsville

The Venardos Circus is back by popular demand, and if you’re not familiar with it, it’s a world-class animal-free circus that acts into a Broadway Musical style format. Created by the former Ringling Bros. Ringmaster Kevin Venardos, the Vernardos Circus has been dubbed “American Circus with the soul of a Broadway show.”

The Circus is only in town for two weeks, and the shows are expected to sell out ultimately, so don’t forget to get your tickets asap! The event will be held in MidCity District, Huntsville, from October 6thto 17th.

Featuring a fantastic assortment of acrobats, aerialists, daredevilry, juggling, comedy, balancing, magic, and musical production, this unique Circus is the perfect experience for kids and adults of all ages!

2. Raptor Show at Huntsville Botanical Garden

The College of Veterinary Medicine’s Southeastern Raptor Center from Auburn University is bringing their popular Raptor Show to the Garden during the Fall Break. This is an excellent experience for everyone to experience live raptors up-close while gaining insights about their ecological roles and natural history.

The event will be held on October 7th at 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM at the Huntsville Botanical Garden, so mark your calendars!

3. Alabama Renaissance Faire

If you’re willing to go on a 1.5 hour drive from Huntsville to Florence, AL, we recommend you do so on October 23rd because that’s when Florence hosts the Alabama Renaissance Faire.

With 30,000 to 40,000 visitors in Wilson Park, this medieval/renaissance theme fair features beautiful fall foliage and free admission. It’s a family-friendly and educational fair that has been held since 1987, and it’s free of alcohol, making it the perfect day trip for your family.

4. 57th Annual Boaz Harvest Festival

This is a beautiful celebration of the fall season and everything that makes the Boaz area great. With just over a one-hour drive from Huntsville, the event is a two-day celebration (from October 1st) including food, entertainment, arts and crafts vendors, Miss Harvest Festival Pageant, pumpkin decoration competition, and so much more!

5. Annual HBG Plant Sale

Fall is the best time to plant shrubs, trees, and perennials in your garden. The season combines warm soil and cool air for grass while the moisture helps the shrubs and trees with their root system.

This is why the Huntsville Botanical Garden hosts its An

nual Fall Plant Sale in the fall, specifically on October 7th to 9th and October 15th to 16th this year.
